CONTACT USWhere turbine conditions are severe, and gas temperatures are very high, the articulating mirror system is offered. This system is designed to maximise the scanned area whilst minimising the depth of probe immersion.
A pyrometer probe which contains an articulating mirror is mounted within a pneumatic actuator. The probe diameter is larger than the fixed mirror to accommodate the mirror's movement mechanism. The pneumatic system inserts the pyrometer probe a small distance into the gas stream and data is then collected continuously as the mirror is driven through its full range of movement.
Scans can be performed in less than 20 seconds which result in high resolution 2 dimensional thermal maps. These thermal maps are frequently used by OEMs for their verification and validation programmes.
